In a society radicalized by religion to the extent that it takes over political power, the weight of the cross falls on Norma.
God gives way to the military banner, hierarchical social structure and a State that controls the individual. Daughter of powerful descent, Norma is a woman full of doubts, fragile and courageous at the same time, who lives under the fear of being expelled from society and her family. She will have to choose between social conventions and her personal situation, sacrificing herself for love without any kind of piety.
This is a staging deeply marked by Catholic symbols that clearly evokes some extreme right-wing movements. This is a Norma to denounce intolerance, claim freedom and live the tragedy of the individual in the face of the oppressive state.
